Venus represents your values, relationship needs, beauty, romance, desires and how we attract love. Every two years Venus moves retrograde so we can review these things. She brings back old desires, attitudes, relationship problems and a different look at our value system when she moves retrograde. Problems and difficulties that were unresolved will be brought back up for a reexamination. This is an excellent time to examine the unfulfilled desires, hurt feelings, and misunderstandings in a past relationship. Be prepared to reexperience old wounds so you can free yourself from painful sufferings. It is a time to reconfigure your relationship desires and expectations. Listed above are the time periods to work with and maximize the upcoming Venus retrograde energy. Below are some key words and definitions to think about during Venus retrograde in Aries.

March 6, 2009 Venus turns Retrograde

A Time to Review

This is the 12th house phase of the previous Venus cycle (August 2007) that comes to fruition and you will begin to see the positive and negative results. If there were problems, then this is the time period they will manifest. Look at your actions towards others, analyze and meditate on what is right and wrong. Scenes from your past are coming to your consciousness showing you a different view point. You sense you are in the dark and indecisive with how you want to move forward. Look at situations realistically and be honest with yourself. Think about your behavior in the past and what really happened that created problems. Maybe your impersonal ambitions would have created more personal gains if you would have done things differently. Review how you can change your behavior. At the time of the interior conjunction is when we can begin to find solutions to our problems.

During the time period of March 7 through March 13 Venus will sextile Jupiter. You may feel as if you want to jump into expansive opportunities that will promise fulfillment for your self. Ideas to promote personal emotional gains or to deliver promises of spiritual awakening. Venus is retrograde during this time and we are in the "Time to Review" period. Remember, Venus in Aries wants to start new adventures immediately and reap the consequences later. You can review this opportunity now but this is not the time to act on it. The time to act is when Venus turns Direct.

A Time to Set Goals

The illumination from the Sun is when you can clearly see your problems and begin to heal old wounds. You may see that was "yourself" who created your own pain. Our behavior may have caused issues we currently have. This is the time to create new values, contemplate goals of new behavior patterns, and think about how to change our attitude towards others. Emotional honesty can truly be liberating. Consciously look to improve what is important in your life. Keep what is at your core and true to you. A time to ask "what is important to me?" This conjunction is an important time in the retrograde cycle which gives us insight. This takes place on an unconscious level so it helps to consciously pay attention to this time period. * Look to the Sabian Symbol of the conjunction. This will help plant seeds for the new cycle.

Look for your natal house placement of the conjunction on 3/27/09. This will indicate where our Venus problems lie and where we need to review our basic values.

1st house: Fulfillment in your personal life or maybe a culmination of a relationship or attitude is ready for a fresh start. Pleasure and fun adventures may need to be reassessed. Rethink about the way you present yourself. You may not be maximizing your personal image to the world in a way that can truly benefit your self.

2nd house: A time to question your values and purpose in the use of possessions. Figure out what it is you want to own and possess. Are these items of real worth and value to you? A time to plan ahead for the constructive use of finances. Maybe you are not receiving enough of what you want from your financial resources.

3rd house: An emotional situation in your environment may manifest with a neighbor or relative. There may be something or someone who is not worth all your trouble. A time to get your thoughts in order to create more harmonious conditions in the everyday life.

4th house: Security and feelings of peace with yourself in matters of real estate or in the home life is important. Review and create personal foundations to create deep harmony. Establish what makes you really feel at home and supported and secure. Settle family relationships to give final closure and create peace.

5th house: Emotional or romantic matters may be addressed. A desire for love, happiness and beauty are urging you to fulfill desires. You must learn to become more sincere with your desires and work towards satisfaction as opposed to what merely amuses us for fun.

6th house: Basic values and emotional harmony is activated in your everyday work life. Discover more satisfying ways to address your personal habits that takes better care of yourself, i.e. eating what truly satisfies. Inspiration and daily activities can be given new meaning.

7th house: Marriage or legal partnerships should be valued. You may need to change the meaning of a close relationship or it may come to a cross road. Partnerships may take on a new quality. Clearly state your desires and address both sides of an issue between both of you. Keep what really works between you and let the rest pass.

8th house: A time to reevaluate relationships in terms of their values. Reevaluate jealously issues or possessiveness in relationships. Deeply look into what money can't buy for yourself. This could be a time for deep healing and self renewal towards love.

9th house: A time to reassess what you believe in and have faith in. A time to seek wider horizons for spiritual meaning in your relationships and life. Your vision and direction in life may need redefining. Determine what you really want to believe in that will help you in your evolution.

10th house: A time to evaluate career success and how to influence the public for recognition. This is a time to prepare how to deal with the authorities to achieve professional advancement. You may discover that what you are trying to attain is actually not what you really wanted in the first place. Review your resume and decide to go after what truly makes you successful.

11th house: A time to revaluate friendships and group activities. Review group opinions and feelings to see if your hopes and wishes can be achieved, too. Sort out who is just an acquaintance and who is truly a friend.

12th house: A time to reach for hidden emotional power from your subconscious. A time for quiet and solitude for yourself. Your feelings may be sensitized more here. Review how your compassion can help others and not drain you. Let your moods with hints of change move you in the right direction.

Time to start working on our Goals

The time to change ourselves in an outward manner is when Venus turns direct. Changes in our attitude take time and practice. There may be adjustments and changes to our goals at first; that's OKay. Any adjustments made to better our self will be positive. Be an Aries Warrior about this! Make your goals work for you with changes for the better! Repeat affirmations and goals in your mind or say them out loud, handwrite your goals everyday. These new goals you set for yourself will help you psychologically and spiritually.

From April 11th to 24th however, Venus will retrograde back into Pisces and station, and then turn direct at 29 degrees. The 29th degree of any sign is considered a critical degree. It is an end to a cycle, a culmination of that sign and what it represents. Whatever planet at this degree is ready to move ahead to the next sign. With Venus stationing here, this can be a karmic time period for your relationships. If you don't finally let go of worn-out problems with others, the problems may be carried with you forever. The energy during this time will push you to take care of issues "now or never." This will feel like final turning point. The 29th degree in Pisces is also the end of the Zodiac. It is as if this is the last time you will have to wrap up problems for good. If you are in tune to your feelings and take care of issues, you will feel lighter and relieved, and ready to move on. When Venus moves direct, especially back into Aries you will definitely sense a breakthrough in your soul.

A Review of Goals during Retrograde: Passionately and consciously review your ways. Review your love nature and relationships in an honest manner. Actively take care of past issues. Be fearless of change and eager to start fresh. During a Venus retrograde, slow down and take it easy, meditate on your past problems and mistakes with others. We may feel out of sorts because Aries wants to change now and in a direct manner in the outer world and Venus wants to cooperate in partnership with charm and grace.

You are able to turn the tables on the past. Your actions will create emotional freedom from the past. Remember, you have the choice to be cheerful and live happily.
